  1.     This  Print2Pict extension creates GIF files from printed page.

  3. The picture is drawn in an offscreen pixmap. This pixmap is then saved has a
  4. GIF file, but the original vector composing the image are then lost.

  6. This extension uses a lot of memory. A standard sheet of paper is about
  7. 800 x 600 pixels. In 256 colors mode, the extension must allocate 
  8. 800 x 600 bytes = 480000 bytes, plus some extra buffers for compression.
